One Day Teaching Event

With Parker on the Porch & Crafty Midwestern Mommy

Who: Jen from Parker on the Porch and Julie from Crafty Midwestern Mommy will be hosting a one day teaching event in Moscow Mills, MO

What: Live demonstration of POP designs. POP Squad members will be on hand to assist while you construct these in-the-hoop embroidery designs on your personal embroidery machine. 

When:  Friday, June 21, 2024 from 10am to 4pm

• “Out & About” 
• TWO class exclusive in-the-hoop bag projects featuring Dashwood Studios Songbird line and Sallie Tomato Cork. 
• Class requirement: minimum 6x10 hoop machine (or larger), serviced and in good working order. No options available for smaller hoop sizes (5x7, 8x8, 4x4). POP sizes their designs according to standard Brother Hoop sizes. 
• Sulky thread (colors) included in the goodie bag from POP. If you prefer your own thread colors, please bring them.

Cost: $129 per day, which includes live instruction from Jen & Julie with the help of Squad members. Digital files on a USB stick, materials kit, goodie bags, lunch & snacks.

What to bring with you:

• Notions: bobbins and bobbin thread, extra needles, seam ripper, large scissors, trimming scissors, bag turning tool for corners
• Tape of choice for securing items made in-the-hoop. Jen prefers medical tape. 
• Machine, Machine bed and ELECTRICAL CORD (people forget this!) 
• Hoops! (MINIMUM HOOP SIZE 6x10) BERNINA USERS MUST HAVE A MEGA OR JUMBO HOOP and at least a 700 series.
• Thread: 40WT Embroidery thread only. If you are uncertain of what type of thread you have, please double check before class. See Crafty Midwestern Mommy for options. 
• Seam closure supply of choice: HeatNBond Hem Tape, HeatNBond PeelNStick Fabric Fuse, SteamASeam, and/or hand stitching supplies.
• Any tool or supply that you feel will make your class experience run smoothly. There will be an ironing station provided.
• A limited number of machines will be available to rent for out-of-state guests ONLY.  Machine rental must be secured separately from registering for the event by contacting Crafty Midwestern Mommy.  Machine rental is $40.
